How the Bach Flower Water Violet helped me ask for help

Water Violet is a very interesting Bach Flower in that many times those who would most benefit from it don’t even see that there’s a problem.

How the Bach Flower Water Violet helped me ask for help

Who the Bach Flower Water Violet is for

This is because Water Violet is the Bach Flower for independent, capable folk who love their solitude and have a hard time asking for help. Because of this love for solitude and propensity to take care of things themselves, they may appear to be aloof, unapproachable, or even snobbish to others.

Water Violet helps them break down barriers, supporting them in asking for and receiving help when they need it, and building stronger social ties.

My recent experience with Water Violet

I myself have a tendency to be Water Violet-ishy; I’m independent and frequently self-sufficient, some people find me unapproachable (even though truly, I don’t mean to be!), and I typically find it difficult to ask for help. An example of me showing my Water Violet side (which was also the triggering event to me taking this Bach Flower again), happened just last week:

The amazing course

A few months ago I applied for and was accepted into an absolutely amazing course put on by my municipality. Notwithstanding how fabulous the course was, last week I decided to leave it. Part of the of the reason for my leaving was that its content was less of a good match for me than I’d expected, and part of the reason was the location of the sessions, which was very difficult for me to reach without a car.

Leaving the amazing course

I noticed after letting the program organizer know that I was leaving that I had mentioned course content as a reason to her, but not my difficulty in getting to sessions. And how I had resisted asking any of my classmates for a ride, even though the program was all about community, working together, and helping one another out, and I can only imagine there would have been many women in the program happy to help me out.

Noticing this made me realize that I’d drifted far deeper into Water Violet territory than I cared to be, and so I began taking it.

Giving and Receiving Support, and a 4 Profile in Human Design

And since starting to take the Bach Flower Water Violet, I’ve suddenly found myself asking for and receiving assistance from others. This has been an extremely positive experience for me as giving and receiving support is one of the ways we build bonds and connections with one another (and as a 4 Profile in Human Design, bonds and connections are super-important to me).

Might you also benefit?

Might you also benefit from the Bach Flower Water Violet? Ask yourself these questions, and consider your responses. Having more yes’s than no’s might be an indication that you could also be helped by the Bach Flower Water Violet.

1. Do I often prefer to handle things on my own, even when support would make the situation easier?

2. When I am under pressure, do I tend to become more distant, quiet, or self-contained rather than letting people know what is going on?

3. Do people sometimes experience me as unavailable, hard to reach, or emotionally distant, even when I don’t intend to push them away?

4. Do I find it difficult to show vulnerability because I am used to being capable, composed, or “the one who manages”?

5. Do I have a strong need for privacy or independence that sometimes keeps me from receiving care, collaboration, or practical support?

Ask for help without feeling it’s a defeat or negative experience

One of the beauties of the Bach Flower Water Violet is that it allows independent and capable people to ask for help without feeling like it’s a defeat or negative experience. I personally find Water Violet absolutely magical in its ability to allow those who feel like isolated islands to build bridges while still maintaining their boundaries and enjoying privacy and quiet.

A bit more about Sat-Sung: my passion and profession is all about supporting my clients who feel stuck, confused, or uncertain within a situation or relationship. I help you see what is really going on under the surface, including the patterns that are driving the situation, in a way that becomes clear and makes sense to you.

With this information you are then able to make accurate decisions and take appropriate action in relation to that situation or relationship.

Two of the main tools I use in this regard are Bach Flowers and Human Design for they are powerful, highly customizable tools that support lasting change. I like to combine Bach Flower essences and Human Design, but my clients also have the option of working with one and not the other. At times I also incorporate additional tools such as Essential Oils, intuitive readings, or Access Bars (energy) treatments.
