How to upgrade your ruminations

This morning I began listening to a very interesting book called “Chatter”. It is about our inner talk, how it affects us, and how we can harness it to help ourselves. One point that especially caught my attention was the claim by the author, Ethan Kross, that our inner ruminations affect us more than what happens in the world around us. It caught my attention because my experiences show it to be so true. I notice in myself, as well as those around me, that it is our stories and inner talk that predict how we interpret the events occurring around us, more so than the events themselves.

And of course, that got me to immediately think about Bach Flowers, and how they help us improve the quality and tone of our stories and inner talk. So I would like to share with you a few Bach Flower remedies that are very good at helping us speak more kindly and positively to ourselves and the events we experience, and empower our inner talk.

Empower your inner talk with Bach Flowers

White Chestnut – this Bach Flower is great for helping get out of circular thought patterns and over-thinking about situations. Indeed, this is the tincture that is added to Rescue Remedy in order to make it into “Rescue Remedy Night” – because so many people suffer from ruminating thoughts the second they hit the bed.

Crab Apple – the Bach Flower Crab Apple is a cleansing tincture, both for mind and body. On the mind side, it helps clear away toxic and unclean thoughts that poison so many of the stories we tell ourselves.

Mustard – this Bach Flower remedy is used to help dispel certain types of depressed moods. And once we are feeling lighter and happier, it is so much easier to engage in positive self-talk.

Depending on your individual, specific situation, other Bach Flower essences could be appropriate either in conjunction with or instead of those listed above.

A bit more about Sat-Sung: my passion and profession is all about supporting my clients in reaching their goals by helping them close the gap between where they are now and their potential.

Two of the main tools I use in this regard are Bach Flower remedies and Human Design, for they are powerful, highly customizable tools that support lasting change. Sometimes I use Bach Flowers and Human Design individually, and sometimes I combine them. At times I also incorporate additional tools, such as Essential Oils, intuitive readings, or Access Bars (energy) treatments.
