Intuitive Readings with Sat-Sung

Intuitive Readings and Divination

Sometimes a single word is used to describe many different and unrelated things, each with its own depth and meaning, depending on who is speaking the word. Examples: words such as prayer, ritual, friendship, and well, breakfast. And also a word important to me to clarify here: divination.

I’d like to explain to you my intention when I use the word “divination” in my own work.  I do so to to preemptively clear up potential misunderstandings, for intuitive divination is fraught with so many conflicting approaches and belief systems.

What “Divination” means to me

Let me clarify what I do NOT mean when I refer to “divination” in my intuitive readings.

  • I do NOT use cards or the I-Ching to predict or forecast the future
  • I do NOT use cards or the I-Ching to answer yes/no questions
  • I do NOT use cards or the I-Ching to tell people what to do or what not to do

What it does mean

Rather, when I say I help people through divination, I mean this:

  • I help people better connect with their inner voice and inner wisdom through insights and metaphors to better understand themselves and situations.
  • With this increased understanding, my clients are better able to navigate themselves and life with increased sensitivity, wisdom, and connection, and through this, enjoy increased satisfaction and success.

Incidentally, this is the basis of what I also do with Bach Flower remedies and Human Design. As a Bach Flower practitioner and Human Design coach, I help my clients remove barriers from their paths and connect more strongly with their inner voice and inner compass to reach their goals with greater success and ease, and positively impact their own lives and the lives of those around them.

Types of questions I answer

Open-ended questions

I answer open-ended questions through cards and the I-Ching. These are types of questions that help you gain greater understanding about yourself, a situation, a relationship, or an energy pattern. With this understanding, you can then work on yourself and/or gain a different perspective on a situation that helps you navigate it in a new or more successful or satisfying way.

Open-ended questions are incredibly helpful because rather than restricting a situation they expand it. And the answers one gets through wide, open-ended questions can be surprising and enormously helpful.

Let me give you an example: this week a client asked me for a reading surrounding an event she is planning. She wanted to know how she could make it more successful for herself and others at the event.

The response was surprising to us both. Rather than talking about steps or attitudes around planning the event, it delved into a specific behaviour pattern, and suggested that by working through this on improving this, the event would be more enjoyable for everyone. Upon reflection, this message deeply resonated with my client. And the beauty of divination tools is that this was not an obvious answer, and not one that likely ever would have been accessed through logical or cognitive routes.

More examples of open-ended questions

  • What do I need to know about this disagreement with my brother/boss/cousin?
  • How can I be more successful in my business?
  • What do I need to learn to get the promotion?
  • How can I have a better relationship with my family?
  • What do I have to learn about this situation?
  • What is my role in this dynamic with my spouse?
  • How can this party be more enjoyable for myself and others?
  • Why is this happening?
  • How can I be happier?
  • What can I do to become more skilled in this area?
  • What would be a wise approach to planning this conference?

Authentic questions

Another tip for asking effective divination questions: you receive the best and most accurate results when you ask authentic questions that come from your heart and not from your head. Avoid queries you feel you “should” or “need to” ask. Instead, go for the things you really want to know.

As an example, let’s say you’re feeling stuck at work. For a long time it’s really bothered you that you can’t focus better because if you could, you could certainly be more productive and less prone to procrastination. But as much as you try, you just can’t seem to focus.

Now, in this scenario, a “head” question might be something like, “How can I be more diligent and focused at work?”

However, in many cases it might not be as useful a query because it is more surface level. I call it surface level because it in essence is a symptom (lack of focus and diligence at work) of an underlying issue (feeling stuck at work). If this distinction interests you, I invite you to look at this blog about symptoms vs. root causes that I wrote a long time ago. It discusses this same issue but the context of Bach Flower essences.

More examples of authenic questions

So back to our example, a more authentic question might be any of the following, depending on what most resonates with you:

  • Why do I feel stuck at work?
  • How do I get unstuck at work?
  • How did I get to this place of feeling stuck at work?
  • What do I have to learn about feeling stuck at work right now?
  • What do I have to learn about this situation in order to progress?

The more authentic and from-the-heart your question is, the more the answers that are correct for you will resonate, and the more helpful the reading will be.

Reflection

The beauty of divination is that it speaks in metaphors and symbols, and thus offers such a rich and layered interpretation of your situation. Sometimes the meaning comes immediately, and sometimes it may take reflection. Sit with the response for a while, and see what feels true to you. This is where the deepest meanings lie. How divination as I practice it works is by triggering truths that already lie within you through resonance and vibration.

This is also why authentic and open-ended questions are so very important. Authentic for the more from-the-heart your question, the more accurately you will feel a resonation with the correct answer. And open-ended because the wider the net you cast with your query, the greater the possibility you have of gathering gems of wisdom.

You always have free choice

It is also important for me to stress that my intuitive readings and divination are always intended to expand your awareness, wisdom, and power, and are as a way limiting your autonomy.

My belief and approach is that you are a powerful and wise being, with all the answers already inside. What the cards and the I-Ching do is to stir or awaken that knowledge you already contain, allowing you to more easily access it to better your life.

My readings

I offer combined card and I-Ching readings, unless you prefer your reading be with one and not the other. I like combining the two because each gives a slightly different angle to the same situation, adding beautiful depth and texture.

How my readings work

  • You and I chat briefly about your question, to make sure I understand exactly what you are asking. This is important, for the better your question, the better your results will be, for the reading is based on your question.
  • I do the reading on my own.
  • I share the reading with you. We can do this by WhatsApp conversation, phone call, or video chat, depending on what you prefer. During this conversation I share your reading with you, and we discuss how it relates to your question and your life.

Moss with dew

A bit more about Sat-Sung: my passion and profession is all about supporting my clients in reaching their goals by helping them close the gap between where they are now and their potential.

Two of the main tools I use in this regard are Bach Flower remedies and Human Design, for they are powerful, highly customizable tools that support lasting change. Sometimes I use Bach Flowers and Human Design individually, and sometimes I combine them. At times I also incorporate additional tools, such as Essential Oils, these intuitive readings, or Access Bars (energy) treatments.
