Right now I’m being targeted on social media for “Essential Oils for autism”. And let me tell you, I find the whole thing rather annoying.
Why Essential Oils for Autism?
I find it annoying not because I mind being targeted for things Essential Oil or autism / ASD – to the contrary, I find it interesting and sometimes helpful – but rather because for me, the entire concept of “Essential Oils for autism” or “Essential Oils for ASD” is unprofessional and ineffective. Parallel to how I find the concept of “Essential Oils for Tall Folk” or “Essential Oils for Caucasians” an unprofessional and ineffective approach to helping people, though likely a useful marketing strategy.

My alternative personal strategy
In contrast to this wide, sweeping form of generalization, my personal approach to both Essential Oils and Bach Flowers is to get real specific to the PERSON, not their label. I listen to what my client is looking for, I ask questions, and I listen some more. Instead of just looking at the outer package. Because whether a client is tall or short, Caucasian or Asian, or on the autism spectrum or neurotypical (or any combination thereof), bottom-line is they are a person with history, needs, dreams and desires, and anything else is just labeling.
Some Essential Oil Blends I love and use
Rant over, I’m now going to turn the rest of this post over to suggesting a few Essential Oil blends that I, Sat-Sung, as a medium-height, Caucasian, and autistic woman, love and use, and want to share with you.
I warmly invite you to adopt them for yourself and anyone you know, regardless of height, ancestral origin, and brain wiring. Here they are:
Essential Oil Blend #1 – Sat-Sung’s Simple and Basic Cleansing Blend
I use this blend a lot for energetic cleansing. I love it because it is simple and effective.
- 3 parts Lemongrass Essential Oil
- 2 parts Tea Tree Essential Oil
Diffuse this blend in rooms that feel heavy, or where you want a cleaner, fresher vibe.
You can play with the Tea Tree proportions – if the 3:2 ratio is too strong for you, try 3:1, and if you want it stronger, make it 1:1.

Essential Oil Blend #2 – Sat-Sung’s Gentle Morning Blend
- 2 parts Rosemary Essential Oil
- 3 parts Orange Essential Oil
- 2 parts Lavender Essential Oil
This blend wakes you up (Rosemary) while also supporting calm and a happy mood (Lavender and Orange).
Like the previous recipe, the proportions are suggestions only. Feel free to play with the proportions until it’s perfect for you.
I typically add Bach Flowers to my diffuser along with Essential Oils, and for morning blends my Bach Flower blend “Get Sh*t Done” is a great choice because it helps increase energy and motivation.

Essential Oil Blend #3 – Sat-Sung’s Current-Favourite Clinic Blend
This is my current favourite in terms of blends for my clinic. It also ranks high in the simplest-in-the-universe category because it comes pre-blended.
- 10 drops Doterra Adaptiv Blend
I love Doterra’s Adaptiv so much! It’s a combination of a wide variety of Essential Oils, including Copaiba, Spearmint, Lavender, Magnolia, Rosemary, Orange, Neroli, and Sweetgum, and the blend was created to soothe, uplift, and reduce tension.

And hmmmm….. as I’m reading the ingredients, I see that one of my go-to morning blends, which I share above as #2, includes three of the ingredients in Adaptiv. I never made that connection before, but now I see where my tastes lie.
If you’re adding a Bach Flower blend to this, you might want to consider Calm & Chill. Or even better, a Custom-Formulated Bach Flower blend.

A bit more about Sat-Sung: my passion and profession is all about supporting my clients who feel stuck, confused, or uncertain within a situation or relationship. I help you see what is really going on under the surface, including the patterns that are driving the situation, in a way that becomes clear and makes sense to you.
With this information you are then able to make accurate decisions and take appropriate action in relation to that situation or relationship.
Two of the main tools I use in this regard are Bach Flowers and Human Design for they are powerful, highly customizable tools that support lasting change. I like to combine Bach Flower essences and Human Design, but my clients also have the option of working with one and not the other. At times I also incorporate additional tools such as Essential Oils, intuitive readings, or Access Bars (energy) treatments.
