A: I work on both symptoms and root causes. Typically, you come to me with symptoms – sleep problems, stress, relationship challenges, difficulties making decisions, the frustration of not reaching your goals or living up to your potential. These are real and need addressing. And there’s also typically something underneath, causing the issues. Sleep problems might come from worries about work or family, a mind that never shuts down, or feelings of guilt. Stress might stem from boundary issues or a fear of success, failure, or letting people down. If I treat only the symptoms without addressing what’s causing it, that’s like putting a bandaid on a deep wound, and one sees that the problem generally pops up again somewhere else. For instance, fix the headache only, but if the underlying stress remains, maybe now you’ll experience a backache or a bad mood. During our consultation, I ask questions to understand what you’re experiencing and what’s driving it. Then I create a blend that addresses both – so you get relief now and lasting change over time.
